Keeping Cadence with God in January didn’t go as I expected. I was so excited to get started, to learn to keep time with God-
A new song
A new step
A new dance
Instead, cadence in January was about getting back to basics.
Cadence in January was the very opposite of exciting.
I admit I was disappointed at first. Like when you’re itching to learn a new song and instead your piano teacher keeps you practicing scales. And you wonder will there ever be anything new.
I get it. I understand the need to go back to basics. I understand the importance of being organized, keeping a schedule, and having a well practiced routine.
It’s these basic steps that the waltz of life are built upon.
In my quest to get organized I discovered something truly amazing. It’s called a bullet-journal, have you heard of it? You can find the general principles of it here on the Bullet Journal website. It’s free and totally customizable! It’s absolutely fabulous and I plan to share more about how I’m using it very soon. In the meantime, you might want to check out my Planning Board on Pinterest.
Cadence is my One Word for 2015. This post is part of a series, Keeping Cadence with God. You can read the introduction post here.
