Redeemed
I am thankful. I am thankful that I am redeemed.
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. ~1 Corinthians 1:30
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace ~Ephesians 1:7
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. ~Galatians 3:14
By God’s amazing grace
And Christ’s atoning sacrifice
I have been redeemed.
This is the most powerful truth I know.
Truth that calls me by name.
Truth that changes me,
From the inside out.
Truth that brings me home.
There is nothing so beautiful,
So wonderful, So powerful
As the true message of redemption.
Last week was a particularly difficult week for me.
A beloved friend suffered a tragic loss on Good Friday.
Our Easter celebration became one of mourning.
And then, miraculously, a new dawn broke on Monday morning.
It was then that God reminded me of the power of His redemption.
God is not just about redeeming individual people.
No, He redeems everything- even worst case scenarios.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ~Romans 8:28
Redeem: to buy back, to recover, to regain possession of
I am redeemed. And I am so thankful.
